(Space.com) Astronomers have pinned down some details of an exotic nearby alien planet that’s almost as dense as lead. The exoplanet, called 55 Cancri e, is 60 percent larger in diameter than Earth but eight times as massive, researchers revealed Friday (April 29). That makes the alien world the densest solid planet known — It’s twice as dense as Earth.
If E.T. phones home he’s about to get a disconnect signal. It seems that economics is putting a difficult strain on our quest to find life in outer space. According to the San Jose Mercury News, the SETI (Search For Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) Institute has announced that it is powering down some of its telescopes, as it cannot afford to run them. Where’s Jodi Foster when you need her?
Los Angeles (CNN) — NASA announced Tuesday the new retirement homes for the four remaining space shuttles — three historic orbiters and the program’s test vehicle.
Aliens exist, and NASA has the evidence to prove it.
Dr. Richard B. Hoover, an astrobiologist at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, says he has found conclusive evidence of alien life in the fossils of bacteria found in an extremely rare class of meteorite called CI1 carbonaceous chondrites. There are only nine of these meteorites on Earth.
The Department of Defense (DoD) launches a secret mission to the Moon after Apollo 17. There is not much attention to this mission as excitement around Moon missions has died off. The astronaut’s purpose is to investigate possible alien life reported during previous lunar flights. Watch the trailer…
NASA has stated that half of all stars in the universe have Earth-like planets orbiting around them. Several scientists, politicians and other public figures have stated their belief in the existence of aliens and UFOs…

Hoax theorists point to the "rippling" flag as evidence the landings were faked. There is no wind on the moon.
(AccuWeather.com) NASA recently held an event that they named a “Tweetup” where 100 followers were invited by random from 400 applicants. The attendees attended several different science talks, including a presentation by Natalie Batalha, deputy science team lead of NASA’s planet-hunting Kepler mission. Batalha discussed Kepler’s latest finds, which were just announced: 1,235 potential alien planets, including 54 that may be habitable by life as we know it.
What if everything you knew about the space program was wrong? What if mankind had set foot on Mars long before the first unmanned probes reached it?
“Turning the Oort cloud theory on its head, a team of astronomers says not all comets originated from within our solar system. If true, more clues could be gleaned about distant stars,” reports Amina Khan for the Los Angeles Times.

“Are we alone in the universe? Or, given the vast numbers of stars and planets, is the universe teeming with intelligent life? The search is intensifying, and what if that electrifying first contact comes? How would it impact human society? This has nothing to do with the paranormal, but I saw these guys (We Were Promised Jetpacks) play at the Grog Shop in Cleveland last night and they were awesome, so I thought I would give them a mention on my site. They played with Bear Hands and The Lonely Forest, which were also amazing. Anyway, check out their music videos here.
The Martin Aircraft Company has created the first jetpack that will be commercially available, the Daily Mail reports.
The jetpack has a height of five feet, width of five-and-a-half feet and a length of five feet, and features a dual-propeller construction that uses fans to provide lift instead of jets of exhaust gas.
The company’s chief executive, Richard Lauder, expects the jetpacks will be sold to a variety of different buyers–from emergency service personnel and private users to the military.
