Hightstown, NJ, March 10, 2012 – A NJ Ghost Hunting group has been instrumental in reuniting a family with an ancestral heirloom item dated from the early 1700′s, thanks to the generosity of a local antiques merchant. Stunning twist is that family and heirloom are just 3 miles apart although both originated in Rhode Island. 

Paranormal Consulting and Investigations of NJ, a local paranormal investigation group, was performing an investigation into possible paranormal activity within the vast warehouse run by AA Empire Antiques, located in Hightstown, NJ. While investigating, members noted the presence of a plaque depicting the name Elisha Johnson from East Greenwich, RI, and his vital statistics. Compelled by this find, they sought out to contact the family and make them aware of this piece of history.

Using internet searches, founders of the group were able to find family members of Elisha Johnson, contact them and make concerted efforts to reunite the family with its history. Once the group mentioned to owners Kathy and Gene Pascucci of AA Empire Antiques that they had been able to identify, locate and contact the family, the generous owners did not hesitate to donate the plaque to the family, so they could be reunited without delay.

PCINJ contacted the family to obtain mailing information, and were stunned to find that the family lives right in East Windsor, NJ, just 3 miles from the antique store! Plans are in the works for the family to be properly reunited with their plaque, with a tentative date of 3/17/12.
