Are you overlooking Aliens?

“I read with great interest on Friday David Corn’s column in which he wonders, with all the recent technological advances and availability of new photographic and video equipment, why no one captured clear and unambiguous evidence of UFOs from outer space,” writes Lee Speigel for AOL News.

“That may not be entirely true, and maybe this galactic burst of billions of devices that enable people around the world to more readily capture things on pixels and videotape doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll have more opportunities to photograph a mothership from another world,” writes Speigel.

“Corn refers to the recent UFO sightings in China that caused momentary international interest when the appearance of an unidentified object lead officials to temporarily close down Xiaoshan Airport,” writes Speigel.

“Despite the numerous eyewitness reports, pictures and videos from China, there was never a reasonable assumption that this was anything that originated from a distant planet. It was quite probably the result of a Chinese missile test,” writes Speigel.

“But the main problem, possibly, in Corn’s desire for someone to present “an undeniable shot of a spaceship” is multifaceted,” writes Speigel. “It’s important to remember that the really interesting UFOs have historically been elusive, not sticking around for the sake of any ground-based photo ops, waiting for finger-fumbling amateur photographers to get their cameras ready and snap those million-dollar images.”
