Denver residents will vote next year on whether to create a city commission to study visitors from outer space.
The decision comes after petitioners gathered over ten-thousand signatures to get the measure on the ballot. Voters will consider the issue on August 10th, 2010.
Petition organizer Jeff Peckman says the commission would collect evidence that aliens have visited Earth. He says he got the idea for the ordinance after listening to a couple lectures by people who had quote, “had close contact” with visitors from outer space.
