“A Realtor is working with a ghost hunter to determine if a spirit or two occupies a 200-year-old house that she listed for sale. She figures it will be a good selling point if it is,” reports the Richmond-Times Dispatch.

“It hasn’t sold unhaunted, maybe it will sell [if it is] haunted,” said Kimberly Ann Calos, the agent with the listing.

“It’s not unusual for people who buy historical houses to want a presence in their house,” Calos said. “It makes them feel their house is more historical.”

“The three-story house, at 18 Perry St. in Petersburg, has been unoccupied by humans for at least eight years, Calos said. It’s on the market for $129,000. Marketed as an opportunity for a preservationist, the house is, well, weathered. But it contains architectural features such as mantels, doors, pine floors, wainscoting and plaster moldings,” reports the Richmond-Times Dispatch.

“Once people found out about the investigation, it’s funny how many people have told me they have a ghost — and they all like their ghosts,” Calos said. “They are not afraid of them at all.”
