Donna Lacroix
“Recently I heard one of GhostDivas’ podcast in which they interviewed Donna Lacroix,” reports Javier Ortega for GhostTheory.com. “Donna Lacroix, a former TAPS team member, in what at first appeared to be a disgruntled former-employee, quickly made sense and defended her point of views about her former bosses,” reports Ortega. In the interview she talks about some really juicy gossip…
Lacroix says that Ghost Hunters is:
-Completely an entertainment show.
-Jason and Grant are ‘the kings’ and they had their whipping-boy in Brian and that she feels that Brian was exploited to the point of mental abuse.
-Everyone is out to stab you in the back.
-Rumor has it that there is a staging crew.
“One of the more interesting revelations is how Jason and Grant mentally abused Brian – Donna mentions how they were “brutal” and “mentally abusive” towards Brian Harnois,” reports Ortega.
Ortega also points out that he doesn’t watch Ghost Hunters any longer by saying, “As the show’s reputation grew more and more, so did their claims of ghostly evidence. Things became more overly-dramatic and you start to see outrageous things being captured on tape. Shadows popping in and out of corners, thermal images of ghostly kids running through walls and the ever so annoying “Dude! I just felt something,” screams seem to fill up each episode.”
While we don’t agree with everything Ortega and Lacroix have to say, we’ve got to agree with the “Dude! I just felt something” comment – It has driven us nuts for a long time. Regardless, Paranormal Daily News watches every episode of Ghost Hunters; it’s one of our favorite shows! Jason and Grant are lucky guys to go from plumbers to doing this for a living – They rock!

According to their website, “The Ghost Divas dish out the straight talk with Donna LaCroix about TAPS and the community. You haven’t heard honesty on radio until you hear Donna speak.”

I’m sorry, but I have been watching the show since the beginning and I remember Brian Harnois. He was one of the most annoying and whinny people on the show. He couldn’t do anything worth while. He needed to be kicked off the show and I was happy when it happened. And as far as them being abusive to him, if he didn’t like it he could leave, Grant and Jay didn’t force him to stay. It was one of the best things to happen to the show for him to leave.
In a letter Donna wrote on the 15th, she admitted to saying things that weren’t true and retractded some of her statements.
I have been in this field since 2001, long before SYFY Ghost Hunters been on tv. I knew after a few ep’s that show sucked, it was mis leading, But that Brian Guy was a real goof. I meet them a coulpe of years before they went on tv, and they are just the same as on tv as in real life. I admit, the first season had a couple of good ep’s and some cool things there were trying, but they need to go! Now they have Steve and some other guy on there own show? geez..what’s next!
whatever people, you go out there and do all this stuff. they are out there to disprove things, debunk. thats what they do. and they find lots of the “sightings” to be explained by natural, normal everyday things. try watching the ghost hunting show on tlc or one of those other stations, they suck. and seriously, how can you put a man in a locker and have him nod his head when the locker is full of shelves? donna just couldnt handle it. she was just as bad as brian
other shows sucks too! Like i said, i’m a investiagtor of 8 years, longer then any parashow on TV! so I know what’s out there and TAPS, fakes shit to stay on tv, if you knew how a REAL investigation is, noo TV crew would want to put it on TV! that’s the truth, it can be fun to do, if your in it for the right reason!
TAPS are total fakers. I can’t even watch it anymore. And that fag Tango always thinks something is touching him, why even air him saying that when you cannot prove touch to the viewers. They all saw an opportunity to make some cash and they took it. That’s called a sell out.
Anonymous, you’ve been in the field for 8 years, right? So that makes you 10 years old now? Because from the way you type, your spelling, punctuation…. whatever. You’re either a kid or one of those dumb people. How do you write up reports on your investigations if you’re so bad at writing?
The one thing most people feel to relize is the fact that they are not ghost hunters, and they have never been ghost hunters. what i mean by that is I am a police officer and most people i deal with think they are pocket lawyers and police officers. They feel they know the law better than i do and they question and bash everything the police do. I am not a ghost hunter but when questionable things come up on hte show i rationalize it, just like jay and grant do on the show, and come up with a good solution. The thing about jay and grant is this. They seem to always be out to prove something does not exist. I dont think they arefaking anything. They see mto be honest, hard working guys who double check everything and go out of their way to show the client the thing they are showing them actually happened. as far as brian is concerned he always seemed shady. AS FAR AS TEHM SEEMING TO FIND NEWER AND BIGGER THINGS. AS THE SHOW GROWS IN POPUALRITY, AND NEW EQUIPMENT COMES TO PLAY, THEY FIND MORE THINGS. AND FOR ALL YOU NERDS THAT THINK IM AM PROVING HTE FACT THAT THEY ARE FAKING IT WHAT I MEAN BY THIS IS THEY REFINED THEIR METHODS OF GHOST HUNTING AND EQUIPMENT AND THAT IS WHY WE ARE SEEING DIFFERNT THINGS. THE OTEHR GHOST HUNTING SHOWS FIND JUST AS EXTRAVAGENT THINGS AS JAY AND GRANT. NEED I REMIND YOU, “I AM JOHN WIKLES BOOTH!!!!!”
Paranormal shows seem to be the “thing” these days. I try to watch the different shows out there and they all do a fairly good job…however, “Ghost Hunters” should be named “Ghost Debunkers”, as that seems to be their actual mission. I have seen “evidence” on their shows that would make me classify a place as “haunted”, but they will not say that…unless…of course…it happens to be a place that might make their living from being named a “haunted place”…ie, The Stanley Hotel. Jest sayin…Jason and Grant could lighten up on the their “orb” theories.
All I can say is , I like watching the show to see Kris Williams ass. Lol! Seriously though they do need to drop the Ghost Hunters International. I can’t stand the Demerest guy. The show sucks anyway.
The fact is that its easy to get around the camp fire and talk. All this forum is right now is a camp fire. I like Kris Williams’ quaint smile too, not to mention her ass. But the facts are taht we do not know what Brian went through. We all have our favorite ghost hunters for whatever reason(attraction to Kris Williams or Steve and Dave’s crazy comedy at the end of a hunt, and or Jason and Grants analitical mind), but what we have to remember is taht it is a television show. Television shows have to meet certain requirements to stay on the air. On this forum I see alot of people complaining, but there is even more people that love the show. As for huantings the possibility exists. It is a theory, but it is up to the investigation team to prove that a huanting is a fact. Brian Harnois was a decent guy, but from what I could tell is that his priorities were mixed up. I enjoyed Brian, and I am sorry to see him go. However, when you have a team member that is a distraction because of their situations outside the investigation then that simply does not work. We can paint a picture that Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson are tyrants, but the fact is that they are the boss. I believe they wanted things to work out for Brian Harnois, but Brian Harnois, like many of us, couldn’t get it together. Many people would love to be a TAPS ghost hunter, I know I would love the opportunity. In saying that I put my jealiousy aside enough to humble myself enough to admit that it if opportunity was yielded to me Mr Hawes and Mr. Wilson would become my boss. Which means I would have to prove myself to them both on and off camera, because beyond them the network is also watching. Before you type try to remember to put it all in perspective, and attempt to be objective. Life in itself is an investigation.

This show lost my attention when they tried to convince the public that the K2 meter can be used to communicate with Ghosts.
“Are You Jay Sebring?” —–blink, blink…..
“Were you murdered here?” ——-Blink, blink, blink…..ect.
If that K2 doo-dad really worked, I would assume that everyone would have one and would use it to speak to their dead great grand parents.
My former neighbors are good friends with Jayson Hawes. They state that he has admitted to them that while they have indeed encountered genuine paranormal activity, they do in fact embellish a lot of the events on their show in order to stay on the air.
No surprise there.
I think that they are doing a good job on the show. but i agree with the police guy, why be on a ghost show when you dont beleve in them.
Um, duh! These fakers are fakers! They’re plumbers that realized they could make a quick buck, so they need to keep the ratings up for the money to keep rolling in.
All that’s missing from these shows is a footnote that these shows are “for entertainment value only.”
Celebrity ghost stories for example. Isn’t it a coincidence how all of the B-list celebrities have such vivid ghost stories, whereas you could collect a random group of a thousand people, and not find one story as vivid as their entire season?
People want to believe, so they will. But when these frauds are making money off the credulous, I think it’s time for some truth.
i will admit i am a fan of ghost hunters (TAPS), jason, grant and crew “debunk” much more then they ever find so thats tells me that all there after is the truth, there are lots of shows on many channels you can watch and make your mind up for youself that WILL put all the drama in for your entertainment but TAPS keep it real.
the answer is…… its a show and if you dont like it turn it over BUT i love it so keep up the good work!
I’ve watched Ghost Hunters since it came on the air. I watch it for entertainment only. I think it started out with a cool back story of two plumbers spending their spare time hunting ghost after both had some type of encounter with the paranormal. Anyway who cares about Brain and past members I mean there have been so many past members who can name them all? I kept watching Ghost Hunters only because of Kris Williams now I have to watch GHI which I’ve never liked just to see Kris Williams. Anyway I for one believe in the paranormal and don’t need TV shows to prove it one way or another. It’s nice that Kris made it to TV she looks good and I think she would look really good on my website since she is a former model. Anyway Peace to all.
Enter your comments here…ghost hunters does suck. truly a boring show, ghost adventures is a better show, more entertaing and realistic because they flim themselves instead of a flim crew following them. Also jason and grant take spritis as a joke,. that everything can be debunked.they best pray nothing follows them home!
I think taps is awesome and, i like tango alot he is a funny guy, all in all they are not fake ive seen things myself that happen to me and try to debunk it but couldnt ive learned from them. Ive seen things on the show they didnt catch.
Why is it there are always jerks who have nothing good to say, (and also don’t know what proofreading is) and seem to love goading those of us who do like the show? I came on here to find out why some people have left the show, but I did not expect so much bashing. If you hate the show, why are you caring whether it is fake or not? Get a life!
Seaner, If your a police Officer I am really nervous! Poor spelling, caps when not needed, and no caps for Proper names. Yukes!!!! Spell Check baby. And if your don’t think things are faked on the show for rating can we say naive. Heck, on the on show from Fort Delaware when Grants jacket is tugged you can actually see the fishing line if you pause it. Don’t get me wrong I find the show entertaining and love it but that’s all it is. Entertaining!
Benn a Paranormal hunter since 2009. I would of love to catch 2% of what these tv shows catch every week. Is it all fake? Im not saying that but come on…Every time I turn around their catching something big.
NO I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS SHOW SINCE I WAS 8!!! She is a little liar andi have seen some of the old episodes and donna was pissed at Jason and Grant for some reason. I forgot…
Some of these comments seem to reflect that fake show the Travel Channel had on for a few years. Every episode something was thrown, the one guy with his imaginary friend always became possessed. Doors open or close but they never show the whole door because you would see a team member moving it.
So many times Ghosthunters had no evidence to show the person.
i was whatching gost hunters internaiotina when they can on the air and said donna had crooms dieses, which i heared is very painfull i whatch the show from the begining and felt it was wrong to lie to the people i use to hate when they whould say did you see that and put on a comercal, then come back on and see notting,i have not watched the show since the .when ther are other shows that are great.plus donna was cute, ghost adventures was a better shoe so ghost hunters should not be on/i hope DONNA IS OK YOU ARE THE GREATEST BOB T
I consider myself a realist and an intelligent person. I do believe that at the beginning, TAPS was a very entertaining show that helped people in their homes, but when they began to do investigations in big businesses and quit helping the individual family I began to lose interest. They keep getting rid of those members that give the show some class, which is very discouraging. The show has become very boring and now that Grant was caught pulling ghost pranks on the show to the point that he had to leave…well then I say, go back to your plumbing if they’ll take you back.
I like Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International.Believe it or not it is up to you what you believe Nobody is asking you to watch so turn it off and stop griping.
