Black Swan focuses on a veteran New York City ballet dancer (Portman) who finds herself in an intensely competitive situation with a rival (Kunis), who might be a ghost or figment of Portman’s character’s imagination.
Natalie Portman will star opposite Mila Kunis in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan. The film reportedly has a graphic sex scene between Portman and Kunis. “It’s not raunchy – it’s extreme,” says Portman.
It is reported that Portman originally turned down a role in Wayne Wang’s 1999 film Anywhere But Here, but joined the project when her nude scene was written out of the film. “I’m not opposed to sexuality or nudity in a film, but I’m very opposed to pornography sites and you’re pretty much giving them material if you do any of that,” she told V magazine. “It’s always a big dilemma for me.”
Along with Black Swan, Portman will begin work in the upcoming Marvel Studios feature Thor. Production on Black Swan will begin this month and will hit theaters sometime in 2010.
