Zombies Invade!!!
“Hundreds of zombies took over Glasgow’s West End on Halloween as they grunted, groaned and shuffled along the streets,” reports STV.tv. The sight was frightening as an army of blood soaked undead gathered at the city’s QMU before making their way across town. However, the end is not nearly as close as one may have first thought…
“The walk is the first of its kind in Scotland and was an organized event to celebrate all things zombie on the scariest day of the year – part in tribute to cult zombie films, part excuse to dress up and go on a pub crawl looking worse than you would after a night of hard partying,” reports STV.tv.
Organizer Colin Armstrong explained how his interest in all things zombies began, “It started when I was an extra in a zombie film down in Herefordshire and it was pretty cool – There were 1400 other people there.”
As for the Glasgow Zombie Walk itself, Armstrong admitted his frustration at having to restrain his performance: “Unfortunately, we are not allowed to bite people and harass people which kind of sucks because that would be the best part. That’s what I want to do, but we’re not allowed to.”
