Gary McKinnon
While searching for evidence of anti-gravity and UFO technologies, 43-year-old Gary McKinnon hacked into the 97 NASA and Pentagon computers between February 2001 and March 2002. Besides finding the US military had a very lax computer security network, McKinnon found evidence of not only UFO-based technology, but of a secret American military unit operating in outer space. Read what else he found…
In 2006, McKinnon told Wired.com the following:
“A NASA photographic expert said that there was a Building 8 at Johnson Space Center where they regularly airbrushed out images of UFOs from the high-resolution satellite imaging. I logged on to NASA and was able to access this department. They had huge, high-resolution images stored in their picture files. They had filtered and unfiltered, or processed and unprocessed, files.”
“My dialup 56K connection was very slow trying to download one of these picture files. As this was happening, I had remote control of their desktop, and by adjusting it to 4-bit color and low screen resolution, I was able to briefly see one of these pictures. It was a silvery, cigar-shaped object with geodesic spheres on either side. There were no visible seams or riveting. There was no reference to the size of the object and the picture was taken presumably by a satellite looking down on it. The object didn’t look manmade or anything like what we have created. Because I was using a Java application, I could only get a screenshot of the picture — it did not go into my temporary internet files. At my crowning moment, someone at NASA discovered what I was doing and I was disconnected.”
“I also got access to Excel spreadsheets. One was titled “Non-Terrestrial Officers.” It contained names and ranks of U.S. Air Force personnel who are not registered anywhere else. It also contained information about ship-to-ship transfers, but I’ve never seen the names of these ships noted anywhere else.”

I like hacking, i do not know how to do it but definitely i will do it. soon enough, I like Gary, profusely!
dolt.
If he was gonna hack a government dept in search of proof of UFOs and aliens and such, he should have used broadband. Hell, he would have been better off if he just used the local libraries internet or a wifi hotspot. Something better than dialup. Then he could have downloaded these images and spread them to the world. The worlds image nuts would be able to see if they have been edited or not.
Yeh that is tru but this happend some years ago wen only 56k was availble,
he is my role model cuz im a alien reaseracher and i will be a ufologist
idk. the story he makes sounds kinda fake. cigar shaped..my connection was slow, etc. it just doesnt sound real. why is there always some short-end when it comes to this type of stuff? why can’t people just get straight evidence? ever?
This guy is good. He should try now that we have better internet connections.
why. why. why. is he the only guy being chased by the U S when we know he was not the only person in there. that just puzzles me….
I stopped reading @ “My dialup 56k…” Nasa hacker with dialup, mmmhmm, riiight.
@LoL @ 56k Think about it for a minute…2001…broadband was scarce then and only available it limited areas. Perfectly expected he would using a 56k dial up modem.
I would like to think that just the thought of the Americans wanting to extradite Garry should be enough to prove that he pi##@ed off a lot of people over there. They obviously wanted to get to him asap before he could reveal anything that he MAY have seen. Still Governments don’t have secrets from the public. DO They??????????
actually i believe he hacked in to pentagon by the means of having a slow connection. It’s not easy to hack such things, but maybe by having a 56k modem and decreasing it’s download speed to a minimum, he could get past the firewall as it couldn’t even measure so slow connections. this would mean, that he needed to keep the connection on for many days thought, perhaps even for weeks.
He makes crazy claims and has a mental imbalance. Believing this guy would be a huge mistake. Space based units? When the US can’t even keep space shuttles going and has to use Russian rockets to get to the space station?
No thinking person could possibly believe these claims. Those who do either don’t think it through or believe in UFO’s like others do in ghosts or gods.
Mr. McKinnon should be given a slap on the wrist and tangible forms of thanks from the government of the United States. Pursuing the matter in this way is the stupidest possible course for Washington to take. “Plausible deniability” thrown to the winds, as well at the very least a grudging vote of thanks for showing what other foreigners (governments?) are up to, and of course the apalling need to address security procedures. Why must Washington always try to ‘swat flies with cruise missiles’? On another subject, who in their right mind would want to fly on US domestic airlines if Mr. Cheney’s faction ever returns to power?
The Wikileaks guy should be executed before this man spends one hour in jail. Although he accessed classified information, it in no way damages the security or reputation of the United States like the information on Wikileaks has.
I dont reckon he would have found much..They wouldnt know stuff all about what the aliens are doing…..They control everything..The goverements are just controlers..It just somthing different for earth…The aliens know how to walk around right beside ya…..If the goverement has that technologhy they wont tell the public…..y there is nothing better than control …Its all wrong…They have all these ufo cruizing around …There just picking up their intelligence TOYS ..They use look u will see

i like hacking and wana become a hacker and gary shouldn’t be punish bt given a gud job ……..
Why are all of you fucks so god damn computer illiterate? This doesn’t apply to what I assume is the mass of trolls infesting this shithole.
i don’t think this should be hidden from us anyway but no he should not be punished he did a good job i wish he would have got more info
eat shit all you nasa and you illuminati basterds your days are numberd
It pisses me off seeing all these wannabe hacker fan boys. They speak about hacking as if it’s some skill can just pick up. It’s far more than that, its a way of life and a feeling too. The hacker has a mental connection to his machine. The skills and knowledge required to hack are really quite simple to a certain extent.
What he did was not necessarily hacking because all he did was run a port scan using a program like NMAP (Network Mapper) to map vulnerabilities and gain information such as the operating system and the scale of the network. Once that was done he stated on his interview that he simple logged in using blank administrator passwords that were left by the incompetent administrators.
A little tip for any people who would like to learn hacking, erase your hard drive of Microsoft Windows, install Linux, learn code, learn networking, learn some OSS, spend allot of time drinking coffee and reading, get on the IRC chat rooms and study hard.
Hacking can be done and is not as hard as some of you may think. It’s all about you’re attitude towards learning. Real hackers fix problems not create them.
Guy’s an asshole man. He betrayed the greatest country in the world – America. Goddam shit limey thinks he can hack for a goddam socialistic European country.
Get the asshole over to the states and give him the electric chair. Burn him up good man, and show him that Uncle Sam will not tolerate commie hackers.
Yes, he did hack our government computer but aren’t you tired of your government lying to you about UFOs? I am happy he did that!
Um actually somebody with the last name gregory hacked into the white and pentagon to prove it could be done
Tyrone yea u stupid peice $#%& its agood thing he hacked into those places because rha just proves how week our goverment dumd@$$ mother %$#*
There are a lot of prats on here. This guy used a trial version of Remotely Anywhere with a cracked kegen. The only stupid thing he did was to download the trial version to his own email address which is how he got caught. Back in 2001 there was no broadband. He did use proxies, he deleted logs and gradually leveraged his way from university computers upwards using portscans and a script to scan for blank passwords. They should have given him a job. He is obviously intelligent.
