“I walked up to it and no mysterious force tried to pull me under the garage door or anything. A voice didn’t whisper: “Get out.” It was quiet, empty, cobweb-less. The house is in Rancho Peñasquitos, San Diego, CA — of all places – Well, that community can be scary, particularly if you have a fear of cul-de-sacs,” reports Michael Stetz reports for SignonSanDiego.com.
“The house on Bavarian Drive was the setting for the cult hit, Internet-fueled, low-budget movie, “Paranormal Activity,” which opened in wide release this weekend - Many are comparing it to “The Blair Witch Project,” another low-budget movie that went on to gross $250 million. That was shot in a spooky forest, though, where you expect creepy things,” reports Stetz.
“But “Paranormal Activity” is shot in a tract home, where you expect really bad furniture. (It doesn’t disappoint.) In the movie, something weird is messing with a young couple, who set up a video camera to catch it in action while they sleep - Peli, a former video game maker, made his movie in 2006 pretty quietly, neighbors said. There were no loud special effects noises or anything like that. The actors are unknowns, so it’s not like Brad Pitt was walking in and out to cause a ruckus,” reports Stetz.

Freaky, I’d be too scared to be living in that house.
