Big cats, ghosts, aliens and a host of unexplained supernatural phenomena have been revealed in a study of the paranormal in the UK during the last 25 years – 109 UFO sightings were among the activity mentioned by the study.

But one of the best known sightings took place in Scotland in 1986, when two police officers saw an orange-red object traveling slowly through the sky and appearing to fall to the ground.

Ghosts and poltergeists are most inclined to make an appearance in Kent, while Dorset has the highest number of railway ghosts. Kent has the highest incidence of phantoms and poltergeists while UFOs are much more prevalent in Yorkshire, a new report suggests.

“UFO’s are the leading paranormal occurrence that has been reported in the U.K. over the last 25 years, followed by general phantoms and werewolf sightings,” reports Fox News.

“Other spooky sightings that have been reported to the police and leading paranormal organizations include crop circles, poltergeists and strange sounds,” reports Fox News.

“Over 250 cases of spooky sightings and UFO occurrences have been reported, according to new study the U.K.’s Fringe Weird Report, which was specially commissioned to coincide with the release of Fringe Season 1 on DVD,” reports Fox News.
