“Historic Hauntings: Ghastly Ghost Tours, Fayetteville’s annual spooky special event, returns for its 6th year next month,” reports Randy Mink for Leisure Group Travel.
“As featured in the October 2008 Edition of Our State Magazine, the haunted hayride explores the eerie encounters and mysterious happenings of downtown Fayetteville. Tours run October 15-17 and 22-24,” reports Mink.
“Ghostly reenactors and story tellers lead attendees through Fayetteville most infamous haunted locations, and historic sites where ghosts are said to inhabit. The tour includes a ride through Cross Creek cemetery , by torchlight,” reports Mink.
Historic Hauntings: Ghastly Ghost Tours is produced by the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival. “While attendees are being entertained, and maybe getting a little spooked, they are also being exposed to the depth of history in our community,” says Carrie King, Executive Director of the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival. “The Dogwood Festival is proud to continue to offer this wildly successful event.”
Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance, either online at Etix or through the Dogwood Festival Office at 910-323-1934. Rides begin at 6:30 each night from the Liberty Point Building at 145 Person Street. They depart on the half hour until 9:30. (Source)
