Some ghosts remain on Earth
“Assuming that ghosts of any type actually do exist, there seem to be a variety of reasons for spirits to choose to remain earthbound. They range from the silly to the serious and sometimes determining why they’re staying where they are is key to understanding the activities at a particular location,” writes Patricia Marin for the Ghost Hunting Examiner.
“Many spirits seem to be able to move back and forth between their world and ours. This accounts for occasionally seeing, hearing, or sensing loved ones, including departed family, friends, and pets,” writes Marin. “They can make their presence known during stressful times to provide comfort and encouragement and can also choose to spend time with us during our daily activities and hope that we somehow feel their presence.”
Marin writes several reasons some remain here long after their time on earth should have ended.
Here are some of the possible reasons ghosts don’t move on:
1. “TRAUMA: They died so suddenly or violently that they don’t know they’re dead or simply refuse to accept it.”
2. “LACK OF A BELIEF SYSTEM: They expected non-existence following death and have trouble coping with the fact that they’re still around and aware.”
3. “UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Something needs to be completed; for example, an important project at work or home. An intense interest in “seeing it through” can cause a person to linger for a while on the earth plane. The desire to send a message to someone still living can also be a powerful reason to remain.”
4. “PROTECTION: A spirit may be trying to protect a loved one for some reason and is reluctant to move on until they’re assured of their safety.”
5. “LOVE: A very strong love bond between spouses, parent/child, or even friends can cause a spirit to remain.”

I am very interested in paranormal since I saw my first paranormal activity events in 2008 when I discovered I have the opportunity to be a psychic spiritualist healer medium,I have the opportunity to have a very strong spiritualist energy-spirit attractor,able to tap into the spirit world whenever I wish,open doors of the afterlife,see beyond the veil,see,talk,pick up spirit moods and hear spirits.I feel I am very blessed to be guarded heavily by my spirit guides adults and children 24/7 some of which are from the victorian era who live in my london flat,also I have the opportunity to see other victorian ghosts in my parents house when I go and visit them,there are alot of breezes there as the ghosts in my flat and the ghosts in my parents house all collaborate together.All the ghosts in my flat and in my parents house show that they are around me by giving me subtle hints by giving me breezy hugs,moving things,playing tricks ie once the spirit children thought it funny to lock my father in his car,the children love shoe repositioning, and I always tend to trip over them I hear the children laughing,cards gently falling off the wall,sometimes the children love printing off pictures on my printer what they want to see ie I wanted a picture of an animal but out came a bowl of fruit etc,my ghosts will do anything to gain my attention and tell me if something is wrong,the young children sometimes sit on my lap,there is always someone sitting in the chair or on the bed,I always know a child is dancing behind me etc they tend to love the song “heaven must be missing an angel.”They are extremely good protectors but also have become my good helpful powerful friends and help me when I have the opportunity to cross spirits over.My spirit guides pick up my mood and know when not to push it they watch my energy level 24/7 and if they know I am very tired they are still seen in the background guarding me but do not interact with me so I am able to rest,my spiritual power energy is growing and because I have the opportunity to have ghost contact 24/7 I do totally shut down when I can and ground myself.It never ceases to amaze me why I have been chosen to have the opportunity to be heavily guarded by ghosts and my guardian angel and other gold and coloured angels who I also have the opportunity to see who also watch over me when I am walking alone especially when evening time comes because As Far as I am concerned I am an ORDINARY lady. Coming from one who is truly empathic, I think I can safely say, you are full of it. Anyone who lived in “London Flat” would have to have been fostered by my grandmother. Please, don’t fill people’s heads with a bunch of crap. You may want to be, but you aren’t. I’m sorry, but you aren’t psychic.
Interesting concepts…I know that trauma makes for better movies, however; I’m more for the reasons you listed as curiosity, protection, love and maybe, just a vacation to a spot that was memorable in a lifetime. I do imagine that the other reasons do happen but who are we to think that we have to “return these advanced energies” to spiritual heaven? Possibly, as spirit, we have jobs to do and it’s the physically bound spirits (ie: us) that are uninformed? Could energy be divided? Might someone on earth in sleeping, dreaming, bodily existence send their energy to a place where their past life was lived? Voila! Ghost….Can’t say I have the answers but I do know that, based upon what I’ve experienced and others who I trust their recounts, it is very simple. It’s the human psyche that complicates it.
