“Do you have to be psychic to be a good paranormal investigator? Of course not; in fact, some people claim that psychic ability and scientific paranormal investigation methods are in opposition. I disagree,” writes Patricia Marin for the Ghost Hunting Examiner.
“As ghost hunters, our prey is elusive. We’re not even sure what, exactly, we’re hunting! One R.I.P. member theorizes that a paranormal experience is primarily a “mental” event. What that means is that it is usually perceived only in the mind and, therefore, it will vary with individual perception,” writes Marin.
“One thing you can’t avoid if you want to improve your psychic abilities is learning to meditate and then incorporating it into your daily life. If you haven’t already learned to do it, what are you waiting for? Even if you think the whole “psychic” idea is flaky, studies have shown that meditation has many benefits. It lowers blood pressure and keeps you healthier – both physically and mentally – by reducing stress and increasing our abilities to focus and concentrate,” writes Marin.
