Members of The Atlantic Paranormal Society held a ghost boot camp Friday in the dining room of the Spalding Inn. The purpose– to teach the public how to track down a ghost.

The Inn was built in the mid 1800s and since then, several previous owner have experienced strange activity here.

“The place has been here since 1860 and it has had reports of it being haunted for about 80 years,” Jason Hawes explained.

Hawes, from the TV show “Ghosts Hunters,” recently bought the Inn. He says that over the years weird things have happened here: locks have latched on their own, handles have rattled, footsteps have been heard on the stairs and in hallways, and doors have opened with no help from humans.

Hawes said, “There have been experiences where people have left their rooms and some have slept in the lobby of the hotel because it has been a little too much for them.”
