I thought the article was pretty funny myself. I didn't mind at all being put down (as the author of the book South Bend Ghosts) by a man who had just trashed Ghost Hunters in the previous paragraph. I felt honored to be mentioned in the same article with Jason and Grant! What really struck me as odd was that he even questioned that I was a graduate of Purdue University. "Author Stephen Osborne, who claims to be a Purdue University graduate and former pizza parlor and book store manager, compiled a collection of personal ghost accounts, legends and folklore from this part of the state." Why would I "claim" this if it wasn't true? Is that man that distrustful? Honestly, it made me laugh.

Have any of you ever bothered to look up the scientific credibility of ANYTHING that TAPS does? You call unbelievers "ignorant" in the most ironic twist possible when taking in to consideration the fact that all basic, modern science has shown every claim by "ghost hunters" to be a deluded, idiotic twist of a simple, every-day phenomenon. "spirit balls" on photos appear all the time, and are the result of light reflecting from dust particles. Ghostly figures frequently have no definite shape or identification to them until someone else SUGGESTS that there's more than meets the eye there. It is a purely psychological hallucination - wishful thinking more than likely.

Incredible, isn't it, that after hundreds of years of millions of people claiming to see ghosts all the time, no one has ever been able to produce a single piece of credible ghost evidence. Also note how similar ghost sightings are to what we see in hollywood and on television. Sounds rather similar to how whenever people see aliens, the aliens always look exactly like the creatures we see in movies and the media, despite the fact that all common sense would tell us that if intelligent extraterrestrials exist, they don't look even remotely similar to us. It would not be a stretch to say that we would not even be able to identify them as intelligent beings at first.

Oh, and I hope you are also aware that EMVs are the result of electric circuits - things which exist in abundance in any home.

How could anyone thing TAPS are hokey? Ghost hunting takes time and it not terribly exciting until afterwards when you review evidence, most often with no guarantee. I don't like seeing people write that they don't believe. It's ignorant.

Personally I agree. I'm involved with an investigative team and this show makes us all look bad in my opinion. Especially with all the evidence you can find online that they do fake certain things. I even remember seeing a "behind the scenes" shot of them and while you only see 2 people on camera they have anywhere from 5-8 people in there with them. Very hard to be "professional' under those circumstances. And I don't find it as entertaining as it use to be. They "ACT" way over the top...
