Jonathan Sadowski and Keir O’Donnell have been tapped to star in the pilot for “Ghosts/Aliens,” a live-action comedy for Comedy Central that also is being developed as a feature for Viacom sibling Paramount Vantage.
Based on Trey Hamburger’s supernatural comedy novel released in November, “Ghost/Aliens” centers on Trey Hamburger (Sadowski) and his loyal best friend, Mike Stevens (O’Donnell), two potheads who set out on a quest to expose the truth about the existence of ghosts and aliens.
Also cast in the pilot, penned by Phil Johnston, are Rebecca Wisocky as Trey’s volatile single mom Deb Hamburger and Kaylee DeFer (“The War at Home”) as a member of Trey’s quartet of alien hunters and his possible love interest.
If “Ghost/Aliens” goes to series on Comedy Central, the show’s cast also would be attached to star in the potential movie.
Sadowski, recently seen in “Friday the 13th,” next co-stars in Paramount’s “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard.” He is repped by WME, manager Susan Yoo and attorney Bruce Gellman.
“Paul Blart: Mall Cop” co-star O’Donnell, repped by UTA and Visionary Entertainment, next will be seen in Touchstone’s “When in Rome.”
